And The Award Goes To…

At the NRJ Music Awards in Cannes on Saturday music sensation, Katie Perry picked up not one, but two awards!! The new pop sensation was thrilled to have won best international album for ‘One of The Boys’, followed by best international song for her smash hit, ‘I Kissed A Girl’.

But as happy as Katie might have been about winning her two awards at Cannes, it turns out behind the scenes, hosts were sweating it over a mistake in the counting. It turns out that best international song was NOT Katie Perry’s number one smash hit after all.

The awards were given to the appropriate winners of each category based on people’s voting on the NRJ website in the weeks leading up to the awards ceremony. It was time for Katie to hand that award back as the true winner for international song of the year went to…..
