Anna Nicole Smith married her longtime lawyer, Howard K. Stern, on a catamaran off the Bahamas, 18 days after her 20-year-old son died in her hospital room, according to Star magazine. Officials in the Bahamas, meanwhile, say they’re still investigating Daniel Smith’s death and won’t be influenced by the findings of a private pathologist who says a combination of prescription drugs killed him.

Cyril Wecht, the expert hired by the family , says Daniel Smith’s death was an accident caused by an interaction of methadone and two antidepressants, but Bahamian officials say those aren’t “the official results,” so they’ll wait for their own.

Wecht said Anna Nicole Smith did not know her son was taking methadone and had no knowledge of any heroin use by him. “ His family is shocked ,” Wecht said.

Daniel Smith had gone to the Bahamas to visit his mother shortly after she gave birth to his half-sister. Star magazine reported the marriage of Smith and Stern on its website yesterday. It is the first marriage for Stern, 37, and the third for Smith, 38, who was married to Daniel’s father, Billy Wayne Smith, in the 1980s.

Stern, in the hospital room when Daniel died, has said he is the father of the 3-week-old . Photographer Larry Birkhead, a former boyfriend, also claims he is the father.

Samaire Armstrong (Tv’s “The O.C.”) joined the cast of Untitled: Lindsay Lohan Lucky Project which will be directed by Donald Petrie, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

In the film, Armstrong will play the best friend of Lohan’s character, who is the luckiest lady around until she meets the unluckiest man. Armstrong’s character is a struggling songwriter whose songwriting comes into play later in the film.

Armstrong will film the role concurrently with the new season of “Entourage,” where she plays the loyal assistant to Jeremy Piven’s talent agent character.
