Peter admits that he usedto think that some day he would end up murdering one of his close friends or relatives. But now thinks that HE is the person who will be the one being murdered.

Pete has gone to extreme lengths to minimise the risks of any of this happening by not opening his door to anyone as he quotes, ‘That’s the way im going out, Im sure of it’.
Pete has struggled with a bipolar disorder and in 2005 attempted suicide by taking a overdose of prescription pills and sitting in his car waiting to die.
But things have turned around since the birth of his son Bronx last year and the marriage to his gorgeous wife/singer, Ashlee Simpson. ‘With marriage and fatherhood, I’ve finally found two fixed points’.
He was also said to feel more patient and happy in his life in general and having less extreme feelings and emotions of despair.
