Lily Allen The Truth...
Timid? Is that how you would describe Lily Allen?
That is exactly how she is describing herself to Elle magazine. She says, and we quote, Yes, I think I am [shy], actually”.
Shy? That wouldn’t be a word we would use to describe the foul mouth, party animal who at the young age of 24 has the world at her feet.
“ I get embarrassed when people come up and ask for autographs”, she told Elle.“I think people expect you to have a certain sense of decorum, but I almost find it like being a nursery teacher, having to be nice to people all the time. I haven’t got a problem with that, but I think people expect you to know how to deal with s**t.” “I find it odd when people say, “Can I have your autograph?” because, why do you want my autograph? I really can’t figure it out.”
She admits she gets jelous of other up and coming artisits and when she hears that other talk back shows are raving about someone new, she feels like she is fading into the background and no one will be interested in her music or what she has to say.
“I don’t feel I am in competition with all the other girls. I really feel this is the year of the girl, with La Roux and Little Boots and Florence [Welch of Florence & the Machine].
“Who I really love is La Roux. She’s a friend as well. I find it quite difficult getting on with a lot of [my female competitors] but I really, really like her.”
It seems Lily is not as ‘out there’ as we it would appear in real life. With all she had to say to Elle magazine, it seems that there is two people who are Lily Allen, the loud and proud one and the super shy one.
