Throughout his generous career, which spans more than 30 years, Jackson was well known for supporting many charities along the way.
He was a true humanitarian in his time giving his fortunes to those who needed it most. He would often be seen visiting the sick children in hospitals and suprising them with gifts to cheer them up and signing autographs and having photo’s taken with them and their families. Something someone of such huge status may not find time to do with their busy schedules.
He was also known for opening his doors of his Neverland Ranch to sick children and even had rooms for them to come and stay at his place while recovering from illnesses.
He was listed in the 2000 edition of the Guiness Book Of World Records for breaking the world record for the “Most Charities Supported By a Pop Star”. It states that Michael Jackson has supported 39 charity organizations either with monetary donations through sponsorships of their projects or by participating in their silent auction.
These are the things that Jackson will also be remembered for. His generous ways of giving to those less fortunate and his kind abilities and soft nature to those who needed some TLC in their life.
